Artistically, I was educated with a emphasis as a painter, so I imagine my approach as: trying to paint with a camera. Being that I'm more an intuative, rather than technical photograher, I've been usually more interested in abstract work. I'm attracted to camera tossing due to similarities to the gestural "pour" paintings I did coming out of college in the late 70s. I am, at least to this date, still compelled to make these images.
